Biography
Aiden Keltner, a San Diego and Los Angeles based filmmaker, directed a school video project when he was eight and has been making films ever since. His homeschooling background gave him the freedom to pursue his filmmaking career. Through high school he worked on two feature films in addition to dozens of commercials and hundreds of short films in positions ranging from Production Assistant to Grip and Best Boy Electric to Cinematographer. Aiden has worked with some of brightest upcoming directors and cinematographers at schools such as AFI, USC, and UCLA, in addition to working with industry professionals on commercials and features. Aiden uses the knowledge he gained on these sets to support his passion for directing.
Aiden chooses to tell authentic stories of the communities around him. Because he has multiple family members with mental disorders and his father is a psychiatrist, mental illness has always been a part of Aiden’s life. Aiden wants to use his voice as a filmmaker to tell stories of the mentally ill community whose voices have been ignored and forgotten. Aiden has directed multiple award-winning short films. He is dedicated to his craft and will continue to tell compelling, powerful stories in the future.
REFERRALS FROM PAST COLLABORATORS
JODI CILLEY, PRODUCER, FILM CONSORTIUM SAN DIEGO
Aiden is one of the most professional, dedicated, and talented filmmakers I know. He brings a strong work ethic, dependability and a positive attitude to any set.
JONATHAN HAMMOND, DIRECTOR, GROOVEKO PRODUCTIONS
Aiden is the hardest worker I have ever had on one of my sets. He has an eye for detail, he is focused and he is always a pleasure to have around.
MICHAEL GIER, PRODUCER/DIRECTOR, SILVER DOVE FILMS
Aiden was a pleasure to work with. He showed up early, did a great job on set, made suggestions that were helpful, and caught two things for us that would have ruined the shot had he not noticed it. I’d definitely hire him again.
DANIEL AGUSTIN, CINEMATOGRAPHER, EDGE-WISE PRODUCTIONS
I have had the pleasure of having Aiden on my crew for a number of shoots this past year. His enthusiasm and work ethic were much appreciated in the grip dept on some of our long grueling shoot days.
